I can't start xvncserver despite I did install tightvnc package.

$ cnf vncserver
vncserver: searching ... ^M
Program 'vncserver' is present in package 'tightvnc', which is
installed on your system.

Absolute path to 'vncserver' is '/usr/bin/vncserver'. Please check
your $PATH variable to see whether it contains the mentioned path.

$ vncserver
vncserver: couldn't find "Xvnc" on your PATH.

$ lsb-release -a

Distributor ID: openSUSE project
Description: openSUSE 12.3 Milestone 2 (x86_64)

Thanx in advance for any help.

vncserver is a script which is mainly a wrapper for Xvnc.

# rpm -qf /usr/bin/Xvnc
xorg-x11-Xvnc-7.6_1.12.3-1.13.1.x86_64

Yes I figured, actually I did bring a brute debian copy of
/usr/bin/xvnc4 and it worked.

Yet I was struggling with all the jazs with gnome3 that I can tell you
out of the box it just don't work on desktop guest install then
access vian vpn/vnc.

I did re-install the latest opensuse just shipped i.e
CY44$ /usr/bin/lsb-release -a
LSB Version: n/a
Distributor ID: SUSE LINUX
Description: openSUSE 12.2 (x86_64)
Release: 12.2
Codename: Mantis

Gnome3 still a real pain, with windows auto resizings in an
uncontroled manner, the gnome classic fallback workeds ok and calmed
the GUI.

I don't know how to move the top black pannel on the right side as I
need all my vertical pixels for my app, I will survive this way for a
while...

Cheers,
Phi

Try XFCE instead.

I did, but it don't come close to gnome2. in term of ease to
customise. I never find a WM manager after gnome2 that could place a
single panel on the right side of a display just by drag/n/drop, then
by some little menu (it was the start of the decline), later on it
started to be windowsXP registery like, until now where it is simply
un-customisable, so you like it or leave it.

Hope some WMgr geek will come up with a drag/drop/click way to exactly
place things on your display, teh way you want, auto resizing or not,
etc...

Will see how it goes.

Cheers,
Phi

It is closer than Gnome 3, IMHO. It is what I use nowdays, I had to ditch
gnome.
