Hello,

I'm trying to make a snapshot of a window bigger than the screen. But it
doesn't show up complete, ksnapshot shows only the content of the current
screen with a black border (the black border is where the window is bigger
than the screen. The commandline xwd utility only dumps the current screen.

It seems impossible to get the window contents completely including the 'off
screen area's' . . .

Any suggestions ??

Have you tried 'import' from the command line? Very flexible tool.

Well, i didn't try import yet, but i have now, it shows the same behaviour,
when i import this window when made about 2000x1000 only the visible part
shows up in the screengrab .. .

Ksnapshot works for me in 8.2. I just did this today:
Loading Image...
I had virtual set to 2000 wide, maximized Mozilla, then cropped to the
1600+ wide result you see after first saving with Ksnapshot.

Well, perhaps my problem is that i tried to make a snapshot of a applet
running in a (approx) 2000x1000 window, perhaps the applet didn't fill the
complete window. . .
Oooh, wait no, i just tried it by enlarging the 'kmail' window, it only shows
the lower right that i had visible !!
(I am using SuseV8.0 here).

Well, thanks for the reply !
